Does writing energize or exhaust you?
It depends. When I'm on a deadline and write a lot in one go I can be exhausted by the end of the day. But at the same time there's nothing more energising than having a great idea and working on it.
If you could tell your younger writing self anything, what would it be?
Just start writing. You can't write something you don't like unless you put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard).
What is it about the young adult genre that drew you to it?
It's just so much fun. Being a YA is exciting and scary, angsty and amazing all at the same time.
How do you come up with your book titles?
Some of them are easier than others. Most have just come to my easily but it's so hard when you don't know what to name them and I spend ages bouncing ideas off my friends and family (poor them!)
What is your writing process like? Are you more of a plotter or a pantser?
How do you celebrate when you finish a book?
Mostly with wine!
